Release Notes 20240928 & 20241001

Disclaimer, this release is available on web/desktop & Meta Quest headsets. Not yet for Pico.

New

Dexr Stage now has it's first rudimentary support for DUTCH language as well as ENGLISH. This only applies to the stage and not the stagebuilder. If you see any typo's or language issues, be sure to report it to us.

You can find the option to switch languages on the starting screen where you log in.

A new public Tutorial level has been added to show you the basics of how to use DEXR.

New in this version is the addition of the first SOUNDS in the experience, giving much needed input feedback on the most common actions. Feel it for yourself what a difference it makes.

And last but not least, If you're unsure what to do next, the challenge Steps can now be accessed at any time during the challenge ( on web) through the new steps icon button or the "i" keyboard shortcut.A helpful reminder of the todo's in this challenge.

Improvements

  • The outline effect on objects was tweaked a bit to make sure they are always visible.
  • The challenge start UI was reworked so it scrolls even if you have a large amount of steps and introductory text.
  • A new onboarding poster was added to the loft level. It's also available in the asset library as an asset should you wish to add it to other scenes. It is available in NL & EN.
  • The loading screen in the STAGE now has a proper & accurate loader progress
    • Please note: Dexr still only loads when the browser tab has focus. So if you switch to another browser tab or another program, then come back to Dexr and the loading progress hasn't moved, that's to be expected. Keep the tab open & focused please. We expect this to be resolved in a future version.
  • In the Stagebuilder
    • you can now see which object in 3D space is linked in the editor by pressing the new focus button

Bugfixes

  • In the stage flow, a MoveObject Action seemed to be triggering twice.
